Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea is made from the dried flowers of the chamomile plant, specifically from two species: Matricaria chamomilla and Chamaemelum nobile, both of which belong to the Asteraceae family, commonly known as the daisy family

The two species that share the common name chamomile are Matricaria chamomilla, often referred to as “German chamomile” or “Water of Youth,” and Chamaemelum nobile, also known as “English chamomile” or “Garden chamomile"

The taste of Chamomile tea is somewhat sweet and floral, and is known for its calming properties

Chamomile tea originated in ancient Egypt, southern Europe, and the Mediterranean

In India, it is primarily cultivated in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam. In Hindi, it is known as 'Babuna' or 'Babuna Fool,' and in Sanskrit, it is referred to as 'Karpura Pushpa' and is gaining popularity due to its health benefits
